NASCAR Racing is worth to be called the sports of the 21st century. It has become one of the most popular and promoted sports in the US and its popularity continue to increase every year. So how come NASCAR racing is so popular? It is a complicated question, but personally I think that there are the following reasons of its incredible popularity and unlimited affection of all NASCAR fans.

The first reason of NASCAR's popularity is that it is easy to understand. Some people may watch hockey or football for a long time but up today they do not completely understand the rules. From that point the rules of NASCAR racing are very easy to understand. Like in any other race, the NASCAR driver that comes first wins the race. Thousands of NASCAR fans visit the racetrack every week to watch their favorite NASCAR drivers alive, racing for the Sprint Cup. From the other side of TV screen millions of fans have a Sunday ritual of watching races live on TV. That terrifying amount even does not include those who gain access to BUSCH races, qualifying and practice sessions. There are also lots of people who arrange big weekend events out of races with barbeque grilling and tailgating.

The next reason of NASCAR racing being so famous is their great promotion job making that transformed NASCAR into a family sport. The whole families love to watch the races together. Uniting families is one of the main reasons why NASCAR racing has become so enormously popular. Both kids and adults like racing. The results speak for themselves. NASCAR is the fastest growing sport in terms of popularity in the United States. It is showing no signs of leveling out in it's grow of fans.

If you are a NASCAR fan it is your must to attend the The NASCAR Hall of Fame. It was designed to be built in Charlotte, North Carolina on March 6, 2006 and groundbreaking began in 2007. It is supposed to be opened for visitors in 2010. The Hall of Fame will be a welcome asset for tourism in Charlotte plus create jobs for the locals. It will have an office building that will house the business operations of marketing the NASCAR image and licensing. The NASCAR Hall of Fame has also adopted the words "Racing was built here Racing belongs here" as its slogan. Besides being a very modern building that captures the spirit of racing, the NASCAR Hall of Fame has as its first mission to pick the first inductees. There are some unofficial Hall of Fame sites where people are taking polls and we'll take a look at some of the popular drivers getting voted for.

NASCAR federation also takes part in various social activities like charity. A nice organization supports charity funds and NASCAR does is a vivid example of a generous sponsor acting through the NASCAR foundation. The NASCAR foundation has a program where for a $30 donation you can join in on the NASCAR track walk. The Home Depot, one of the nation's largest retail home improvement centers, is a major sponsor of the promotions and holds charitable events with proceeds going to the Foundation. One thing they do is sponsor auctions where the proceeds go to one of the foundations supported by the NASCAR foundation. For example, on September 17, 2007, they announced bidding on Jeff Gordon full-sized and autographed fiberglass auto body. The proceeds from this auction go to the Jeff Gordon Foundation which supports pediatric medical care of children with serious and life-threatening disease.
